SUMMER INSTITUTE Both the editors are engaged in the Summer Institute on Conflict Management and Resolution at the International School for Humanities and Social Sciences (ISHSS) of the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Like the book, the Summer Institute aims to help people working in the development and peacebuilding fields te become more effective in their daily work by learning about theories and experiences from elsewhere. In addition, the Summer Institute pays extensive attention to conflict resolution skills training as well as self-awareness: what is your own role in conflicts? How can you change it?
